Hales Freight started in business In Liverpool in 1975. Wally Hale and his five sons saw that the fresh imported vegetables that they sent to Ireland were very slow in getting to their destination, and that in the interest of their customers they'd have to take control of the way they were being shipped. In May of '75, Hales Freight began shipping their own trailers with their own drivers straight to Dublin, which then delivered direct to the customer the next day.
